Have you ever gone fishing with someone and admired the custom rod they rave about? Ever wonder what the benefit is to having a custom rod? Imagine having a rod that fits YOU and the way YOU fish like a glove. There is no comparing a rod that’s been made to your arm length that has the action that you want in the line class you fish with. Now put you favorite colors and design on the wraps. Do you love the color scheme on your boat? Now picture a full spread of rods that match it perfectly. 

Capt Dave, our rod builder, has been building rods longer than most folks have been fishing. He’s also been a Charter Captain just as long. The combination of the two means that he’s had plenty of opportunity to observe fishermen fighting fish on everything from Fly to Big Game. He can walk you through the perfect stick to match your fishing style just by spending a little time talking to you and finding out what you want and how you plan to fish it.

It’s not as expensive as you think. Being that we’re professional fishermen too, we know the value of a dollar. Of course, being in the retail tackle business, we also know the expenses involved. We have actually been able to build fully custom rods for less than you’d spend on a production model. Of course there are lots of variations in rods and pricing, so you’re better off coming into the shop and talking about what you need.

REELS

We have a strong showing of Daiwa Reels, Rods and Speed Jigs on hand as well. From the Bull 1000 electric reels to the ever-popular BG series spinning reels, we’ve got what you need! Make sure to ask for some tips on using your new Electric Reel while you’re here. It has more uses than you might think.

Of course we also have all the items that you would expect to find. And don’t forget, we’re fishermen too, so we always have some new something that we’re field-testing. We’re proud to say that we have helped Penn Reels do some pre-product launch research. Most recently on the new, soon to be released, Penn 30VSX and Penn Slammer 760. We also helped research the Penn Torque 300, which is now available.

Of course you can’t overlook the Quantum Reels we have. Everything from the Energy PT to Cabo PT series is on-hand. And you can match these up on a Rod by Quantum!

Need something special put together? Say a dredge, daisy chain or spreader bar? Don’t have time to rig that tournament winning Marlin lure? Let us help. We can rig anything and everything from your kite reel to a 90 bait dredge. Pricing varies with each project, so call us or stop by and discuss it.

BAIT

We carry both frozen and live bait.

Live baits, we have Shrimp and Crabs.

Frozen baits include Shrimp, Finger Mullet, Squid, Silversides, Ballyhoo (rigged and unrigged), Swordfish Squid and more!

Need chum? We’ve got plenty. Have a special chum recipe? We also carry Oats and Menhaden Oil to add to your mixture.

Of course we also have pinfish traps, shrimp nets and cast nets so you can get your own fresh baits.

LURES
